Khandha Paritta
Protection Of The Aggregates
The divine charm (Mantra) and divine medicine destroy the terrible venom of all poisonous creatures. Even so this protective Sutta has always neutralized the poison of creatures and protected all beings from danger in places within the range of the Buddha's Dispensation. Oh, Noble Ones! Let us recite this Paritta. From me there is metta [compassion] towards Virūpakkha, towards Erāpatha there is metta, From me there is metta towards Chamyāputta towards Kanghagotamaka there is metta.
From me there is metta towards the footless beings, towards the two-legged beings there is metta, From me there is metta towards the four-legged beings, towards the many-legged beings there is metta.
Let not the footless beings do me harm. Let not the two-legged beings do me harm Let not the four-legged do me harm. Let not the many-legged beings do me harm
All creatures, all that lives, all beings, all of them together, May they know what is auspicious. May evil never come to them.
Measureless is the Buddha. Measureless is the Dhammā. Measureless is the Saṅgha
But measured are creeping things. Snakes, scorpions, centipedes, spiders, lizards and rats.
Made by me this wording, made by me this protection, may those beings go away.
I revere him, the Exalted One. I revere them, the seven Sammāsambuddhas.
